As I was collecting and organizing the replies for my Viva la Repartee book, I invited subscribers to my weekly newsletter to send me their favorite examples of repartee. Happily, many provided quips and comebacks I'd never heard before. When I made the request, I promised to formally acknowledge the help of people by posting their names on my web site.
